Challenge

Dispatch ran on a whiteboard, customer requests arrived by phone, and every job was written down twice. As the crew count grew, so did missed appointments and unbilled work.

Approach

We mapped the real workflow first — dispatchers, technicians, and customers — then prototyped the portal before writing production code. The build shipped in stages, starting with scheduling, so the team saw value in weeks.

Result

Customers now book and track jobs themselves, dispatch works from one live board, and invoices generate from completed jobs. Metrics will be shown here once client analytics confirm them.

How it was built

Strategy, design, and development — one thread.

Two weeks of discovery: shadowing dispatch, interviewing technicians, and ranking what the software had to fix first. Flows and wireframes for the three roles, then a clickable prototype tested with the people who'd use it daily. A staged build — scheduling first, then the customer portal, then invoicing — integrated with the accounting system already in place.
